(More customer reviews)I have recently bought a Roland GR-1 Guitar Synth. If you like guitar synths, it's awesome. I liked putting effects like delay and phaser on top of the sounds the synth could create. I tried setting up the synth to be like another effect in the chain, but one problem... NO TRUE BYPASS! In fact, the thing sucked so much tone that it made even the best sounding guitars sound like garbage. So I decided to look for a way around this. First, I was looking at ABY switchers, but nothing seemed to do what I wanted to do. Then, after coming across it in a Google search, I found that a true bypass pedal would probably be my best bet.
After doing some research, I figured that this ToadWorks pedal was my best bet. Good price. The specs seemed right. So I ordered it and it came in the mail today. I set it up and it works like a charm. It's pretty self-explanatory. Your "In" and "Out" jacks are your guitar's signal. "Send" and "Return" are for the pedal you want to true-bypass. The switch turns the effect on or off and the LED indicates such.
There's probably a million other pedals that can do something similar but if all you want to do is make a single effect pedal true-bypass when it's not, this is the best that money can buy. Plus, as far as I know, ToadWorks is a smaller company, and I'm all for supporting smaller companies!
