(More customer reviews)This ukulele arrived with Aquila ukulele strings complete with a warrantee. It uses a 9-volt battery to be hooked up to an amp. You don't have to hook it up to an amp to play, though. It plays beautifully as an accoustic as well. The fret board is just the right size for playability. Beautiful looking wood finish and nice rich sound. Well worth the money. The only thing is that you have to use a classical guitar/ukulelet strap, which is a sound hole strap. This Lanikai really lives up to Lanikai's advertising phrase....Lanikai makes my son happy!Lanikai LU-21TE Tenor Acoustic Electric Ukulele
