This was a gift for my son who already played electric and wanted to do some acoustic. I also have played so this review is from both of us.
First, don't let the fine print inside the guitair "Made in China" throw you off. The craftsmanship and finish are excellent. Upon removing it from the packaging (which was very adequate), I noticed a bright shine finish. There was no glue odor or evidence that the glue was sloppy.
The strings were already on and only needed tuned. After running my fingers along them, I determined that there was no corrosion. Very good!
Once tuned, my son and I began to play and are quite impressed with the sound quality and the fact that we detected NO FRET BUZZ.
The bottom line is this: If you want good sound and good looks for a good price, I highly suggest you check this one out.
