(More customer reviews)This is a nice sounding ukulele from Kala. Intonation is spot on all the way up the neck. Looks beautiful, too, especially the slotted head stock. My only complaint with Kala (and Lanikai) is the neck could be a little wider, at least for my hands. And though the sound is nice and bright, mine at least lacks the warmer, deeper sound of other ukes. Granted, my Kamakas have a much warmer, deeper sound, but they cost several hundred dollars more. Maybe it's just me, but I think the Kala solid mahogany series sound nicer. I may try to change the strings on my Kala Acacia uke. Many seem to do that with this model. This is still a nice ukulele though. I don't regret getting it. I would recommend trying one out in a music store first, if you have one nearby.

Lanikai NK-T Custom Series Koa Tenor Ukulele Review

(More customer reviews)I have played many ukuleles and to me this by far sounds the best. The natural Koa seems to resonate more than the standard Koa or curly Koa ukuleles. I did switch out my strings as soon as I got it for some black strings with the low string being a metal wound string but that's a personal preference. The workmanship is beautiful. I was skeptical originally because I am the type to try before I buy. I had the S-TEQ before this and didn't like the "bright" sound compared to the softer Koa sound. I will try to post a video review so you can hear it.
