Mighty Mite Licensed Precision Bass Neck - Rosewood Fingerboard Review

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this neck when I ordered it. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality. I needed a replacement neck for a Squier Affinity P-Bass due to a broken truss rod. This neck fit perfectly into the pocket on the body of the guitar. No modification was required. You will have to drill your own starter holes in the heel as well as in the headstock for your tuners. Since every bass is different, that is a good thing. I highly recommend drilling these holes deep enough so you don't sheer of the screws. Especially the tiny screws that attach the tuners. (Yes, that is from experience.) I didn't drill deep enough on one of the holes and as soon as the screw bottomed out the head of the screw popped off with very little pressure. The sound quality is just as good if not better than the stock neck that came with the guitar originally.
The only con for this product is that there are no instructions included. However, if you are even concidering replacing it yourself, you probably have the skills required.
It only took a couple of hours to replace the neck and make all of the adjustments again to get the correct relief, action and intonation.
Tools you will need:
Screwdriver set
Drill and drill bits (drillpress if you have one)
Allen wrench set
Rubber mallet (to put the bushings into the peg holes. Note: Put these on before attaching the neck to the body.)

I needed some tuning pegs to fix up an old guitarron that came into my life. These have filled the need perfectly. Price was the driving factor so I didn't expect these to be the best tuners I've ever used and they aren't. However they are doing exactly what I need them too and I'd certainly buy them again.

Mighty Mite Fender Style Electric Bass Tuning Machines - Chrome Review

I purchased these tuners to make a reverse mounted tuning head for an electric cello. The tension is abnormally high on these strings because of some bad geometry in the design, but they'll still hold within a semi-tone for four or five days, which is acceptable because of the negligible (relative to wooden tuning pegs) time it take to bring it back up to tune. They look amazing and are really easy to install. The included mounting screws are a tad weak though, I snapped the head off one while cinching it up with a manual screwdriver.

Mighty Mite Fender Style Electric Bass Tuning Machines - Black Review

These tuning machines have proven that most, not all, products' prices are influenced by the name & ego of the company that made them. Originally, getting just 1 tuning machine like this would cost the price of this whole set, scary huh? I put them into a Silvertone Revolver to reduce the chrome and increase the contrast between the black body edges and the natural wood on the body, and boy, these things work even better than the original tuning machines!
I have a few simple suggestions for prospecting buyers of this fine product. First, make sure they will fit in the headstock since not every instrument is created equally. Second, use an electric screw driver to install them to prevent stripping screws (something I almost did with a mechanical screw driver). Last, put down some duct over where you will insert screws to prevent the wood from getting nasty splits.
I give these Mighty Mite tuning machines a 5 out 5 since they are beyond amazing for their price even if they smudge quickly. For more great deals on guitar & bass parts, I definitely suggest getting products from mightymite.com !
