(More customer reviews)The foam in this bag is super thick, providing lots of protection for my uke. The front pouch is just big enough for a little tuner and some picks. The handles are well placed, as well. My ONE complaint is the length of the shoulder strap. I like to wear the case across my back, with the strap going diagonally across my chest. I'm a medium sized person, and it's only just long enough to do that for me. If I were any larger, the strap would be too short. That's a small complaint, though, as the bag does the job of protecting my ukulele and does it well.

(More customer reviews)My Makala tenor uke arrived on time and in perfect condition (packaged very well). Not a scratch or blemish on the finish. It comes with black strings, I think they are nylon, and held it's tuning pretty much right from the start. All the frets are smooth and the action is nice. Once I found the "sweet spot" it has a nice, rich tone. I also bought a Mahalo soprano uke, but find it a bit too small for me, and a little "tinny". I'd definitely recommend the Makala as an excellent starter instrument for someone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a decent uke.

This made me feel good about my Amazon purchase. I have had the guitar for a while now and my daughter loves it. Looks nice and plays well. It was a good purchase. I would buy from this seller again. Maybe a bass next time.
