(More customer reviews)I just got this uke a few days ago, and I absolutely love it. I would give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. I immediately changed the nylon strings out for Aquila nylgut strings because they had terrible sound and felt too stretchy. After that improvement I couldn't be happier. Build quality is immaculate, finish is great, playability is fantastic, and the tone is bright and loud. I'd recommend it to anyone (with a new set of strings). Now that there is finally a review, nobody has to take a stab in the dark for this beautiful uke.

As far as I know, it is the only electronic tuner that has specific Banjo settings (along with guitar, violin/mandolin, ukelele, and chromatic settings)...such that you can see both the note name you're playing and the string number of the banjo on the display as you pluck the string in tune. Very easy to see tuning "needle" and screen color change to green when you've got the note in tune. Smaller form-factor that other tuners I bought for my wife's guitar and the kids' violins, but still with big easy to read display.

I was surprised how small and easy to use it was.
I tried on line tuners, whistles, and a large guitar tuner, but this little guy takes the cake, simple, fast, effective and is small enough to fit anywhere (within reason),
the tuning part is a little smaller then a new VW key fob, with a clip attached.

Aroma AT-320B Clip-On Chromatic Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)Problems from the start. The unit would not turn on when I first received it. After many resets, it worked fine for about a week. Now it can only be turned on by removing the battery sevaral times then once you shut it off, you can't turn it on again unless you repeat the above process often 2 or 3 times. I also tried a new battery. Works great when it works! Not dependable.

Fishman FT1 Digital Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)The FT1 does the job it's intended and has some nice features (like guitar, base and ukulele modes), but also has some shortcomings.
It's tiny buttons are hard to press and the dark screen makes it difficult to see when it's activated. Therefore, it's easy to forget to turn it off. I've also had it accidentally turn on while flopping around in a case or instrument bag.
When you strum a note the screen lights up green. However, the scale does not give an indication of the amount of "off resonance" a tuning is. It's either, simply, too low, on, or too high; no gradual tuning scale. This makes it real difficult to creep up to a note. The screen does change from green to orange when resonance to is obtained, but its acceptance window is extremely narrow making tuning a very touchy proposition.
If I buy another clip on tuner, I will look elsewhere.

This small piece of equipment made the task so much easier than I thought it was going to be. (More customer reviews)After trying several clip-on tuners for my guitars, banjos, and mandolins, this is definitely the best I've ever used. It works very well on all three instruments. It's accurate, the lighted display is very visible with bright colors for flat, sharp, and right-on. The head of the display swivels easily in any direction for easy viewing. It also allows tuning by both vibration or sound. The red color of the tuner's exterior makes it easy to find in my gig bag but is not obnoxiously bright when placed on the headstock. It's so good I bought two. Delivery came in about two or three days by standard shipping.
