(More customer reviews)This guitar's quality was a very pleasant surprise. The guitar teacher tuned it and it's holding well. The bridge had a 1/2 inch scratch on it, even though it was packaged very carefully. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of exchanging. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of internet shopping. Also the free digital tuner was left out of the package but I emailed the vendor and they quickly shipped it to me. Even though the experience overall wasn't totally smooth, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It's a great deal, especially with the free digital tuner.

When I contacted Amazon about a replacement, I was told that they did not have any in stock. They ended up refunding my money and I sent the guitar back. It was a total disappointment and I was really looking forward to giving him the guitar. Kudos to Amazon for making it right though.

Everything one needs is there, including a tuner, a stand, picks and even spare strings. The instructional DVD is quite nice as well. I have no problem following the courses so far. The lessons only cover the basic chords, but still enough to get one started.
The price here fluctuates, but tends not to be very competitive. Some buyers have even received used guitars posing as new. Check out overstock.

(More customer reviews)I am very happy with this purchase. I've always wanted to learn the guitar but I didn't want to pay a lot of money for a beginner' guitar. I searched online for quite a while and came upon this guitar. I saw the price of it and all the additional items that came with it and thought to myself that since it's so "cheap" and I'm just learning to play, it would be a good deal to purchase it. I also thought that because is was so cheap, that the quality of the guitar would be poor. I'm happy to say that I was wrong. The quality of this "cheap" guitar is outstanding. I am so pleaed with it, plus all the items that came with it. I feel as though I "stoled" it. What a great product. I just love it. It looks and sounds wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good guitar, even those who play professionally.

(More customer reviews)I've played the guitar all of my life and have several Yamaha classical guitars. These are the only nylon-string guitars that are I will buy and that are worth buying.
Yamaha classical guitars are the best inexpensive high quality classical guitars that you can purchase. I've bought several other brands of classical guitars in the past but always end up selling them. I always keep the Yamahas.
If you research classical guitars on the Internet, you will find that Yamaha brand is the best classical guitar that you can buy for the money. They are not hand crafted like the more expensive brands but who cares? They are made by a computer controlled machine to exact tolerances. They play just as great as one made by a craftsman. Sure there are more expensive classical guitars out there but why pay more for same thing that you can buy cheaper? Especially when it is easy to play and sounds great.

Yamaha Gigmaker Standard Acoustic Guitar Pack, Natural Review

(More customer reviews)I got this guitar to replace my Mitchell guitar based on reviews.
The price was good.
Also, it is the Yamaha brand name.
The sound, I was told by my teacher, was very good and he said it was a good buy.
The tuner is OK....better to buy a Korg tuner from Amazon.
Haven't tried the DVD yet.
I have only two complaints:
1) The bag, as pointed out by another review, is very flimsy. It has no straps, no padding. It just has a carry handle. You would want to buy another gig bag
2) The worksmanship is lacking at certain points....e.g. where the neck extends on to the body of the guitar, you see glue that was squeezed out from under. I am a stickler for aesthetics. Some people are not bothered with such stuff.
OVERALL A VERY GOOD GUITAR
PS - You might want to check out the GigMaker Deluxe...similar guitar but has a solid spruce top and is only $10-$20 extra. I did not know about it otherwise would have bought that.
However, as I came to know later, solid wood tops sound good but need to be kept in controlled humidity whereas the laminate tops don't care about humidity. If you want to control humidity, you can buy a little humidifier (no electricity needed) that drops into the sound hole of the guitar.

(More customer reviews)Before you read this understand I am new a playing guitar. That being said the features on this guitar are nice fir beginners, the Fishman tuning system is easy and work great. The sound is great (to me) Im sure others will differ but if your looking for a 200 dollar guitar you shouldn't nit-pick. But it has been about 6-7 months of hard play and I don't hear any new rattles or signs that things are coming apart. The finish is natural wood not polyurethane like nice ones. But this is a great beginners guitar.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this guitar in Jan. 2011, for my son's 22ND b-day present. This is his first guitar, so I purposely waited in writing a review until he became more accustomed to playing and familiar with this particular guitar. First of all we both think this a nice guitar for a beginner. The original guitar strings were just OK, the first E string broke, so my son had to change the strings, he chose to use the brand- D'addario light 0.12 strings. Between, practicing every day and changing the strings, we could definitely hear a difference in the sound quality of the guitar. The look of the guitar is a beautiful lightly gloss laminated finish. The gig bag is a bit cheap, and a small hole tore near the zipper a few days after buying it, but other than that it is holding up. If you plan to use your guitar daily, you might want to invest in a better carrying case. All in all, no complains for a first guitar.

(More customer reviews)This guitar package is great! I am a beginner and it is great to start off with. The guitar is absolutely beautiful and the accessories are really great. It comes with a dozen picks, an instruction booklet, chromatic tuner, and gig bag. The guitar sounds wonderful. The only con that I have is that the action seems a little high, therefore making it a little tough on beginner's hands. But anything will be tough on a beginner's hands because we are not used to pressing down on thin (or thick for that matter) pieces of steel. Other than that, it is awesome!
UPDATE: After having the action adjusted by a pro at a guitar repair shop, the guitar is even more of an absolute joy to play! It does not hurt my fingers hurt at all anymore. So if you are having problems with the action being too high, take it to a local guitar repair shop and have them look at it and adjust it. Your fingers will thank you!!! GREAT GUITAR!!

I love this guitar - I even took it to a music store and the guy said it was a great guitar and for 90$ it was a steal. He also said it had a very cool sound and said he was going to buy one lol. This is a great guitar for ANYONE and for a first guitar I couldnt ask for more. It's crafted perfectly and there are no flaws in the finish. I would definetly reccommend this guitar to everyone. I know its tempting when you see all theses 30$ guitars on here but I promise that you wont regret it if you spend a few extra dollars and get this one.

Guitar For Dummies Acoustic Guitar Starter Pack (Guitar, Book, Audio CD, Gig Bag) Review

(More customer reviews)Having little to no knowledge about guitars, I did some basic research on guitar packages before deciding to purchase this set. I'm older and wasn't sure if I really wanted to go through the work to learn the guitar, but I did want to try, so I was looking for a nice "all in one" package to get me started without spending lots of money.
This set arrived promptly, was well packaged (the guitar was well padded by styrofoam and cardboard) and exactly as advertised. The book is much smaller than I was expecting based on the "...for dummies" series, but it seemed do-able. Although I had to put in 4 stars for the overall package, I'll briefly review each piece of the set for better clarity.
Guitar bag - 1 star, functional to keep the dust off the guitar.
Electronic tuner - 4 stars, works easily but the batteries were difficult to load without seeming to have broken the unit.
Book - 3 stars, an ok book & CD to start with, but very little depth.
Guitar - 4 stars, sounds good but a little tough for the beginner.
Picks - nice...
Some of the things I've learned about the guitar over the last few months: The strings sit somewhat high above the frets so it takes quite a bit of pressure to push them down. The strings that came with the guitar were most likely "ultra light" so moving to "light" was a bit of surprise, it made fretting the strings even harder. The pick guard is showing wear as is the fretboard under the strings nearest the nut. The guitar sounds good, but I wish I had gotten one with strings closer to the frets.
I also wish the pack had included a guitar strap and a better instruction set, but for the price, I feel it was a really good deal. I'm a guitar noob so my opinion is that of one who is completely new to the guitar.

Nice sound and decent quality...definitely for the money. Although you wouldn't want to perform with them, they are a good guitar to get your feet wet with. (More customer reviews)I just recieved my Jasmine by Takamine guitar i tune it up and it is the best sounding and the string action is very close so it is very easy to play I am not a pro player i do enjoy playing i have owned two washburn guitars(that cost a lot more) and this one puts them to shame.Read reviews some said the string were to hard on there fingers this is from string type not guitar if my string were any closer it would play it self.the only thing that has nothing to do with playing is the finish it is the first i beleive they call it a satin finish i have owned all others i have had were high gloss still a beautiful Guitar all in all i love this Guitar.The price is really hard to beat..

(More customer reviews)Bought this for my 15yo son's birthday. He has been wanting to learn and this bundle seemed like it would have everything he needed to get started except a tutorial book. He took this guitar over to his friend's house and all the guys were impressed with the quality of the guitar, but of course they had to tease him because his mom didn't buy him electric... (but they admit that they all learned on acoustic, so he is doing just fine and on the right track).
This is a beautiful guitar that looks like it will last many years with proper care. All the included items were of good quality and seemed like they would last awhile until he needs upgraded in a couple of years. This is a much better deal than anything we had available in our local music store. Shipping was very fast and everything was well packed. I would feel comfortable buying from Kraft Music again.
I am so glad I chose the hard case over the soft one that is in a different auction.. totally worth the extra cost. This case and stand are much better than I expected them to be and it will help my son keep his guitar nice.... I am totally happy with this deal.
The book I bought to go with this is How to Play Guitar: Everything You Need to Know to Play the Guitar and my son found it very helpful in starting out.
