(More customer reviews)I was skeptical at first to try this tuner since I hadn't heard of TinyTuner before, but I'm sure glad I gave it a shot. It looks so much nicer and stylish than my old clip on tuner I had ... and it works better too! Normally my low E string on my guitar doesn't tune that well with a clip-on tuner, but with this tuner the low E tunes fast and spot on. The bright blue screen is awesome and I love that the screen turns green when I'm in tune... how cool is that? I tried this on my ukulele too, and it works great. Oh and having the modes feature for different instruments is really helpful - and if I tune my guitar using a capo, I just switch to the Chromatic mode to tune. The price on this tuner is unbelievable ... I think might order another one just to have as a backup.

Planet Waves Pro Winder String Winder and Cutter Review

I used my PlanetWaves Pro for the first time last night. The pin puller works smoothly, and the string winder doesnt come unscrewed constantly like every other one I've owned!
The componenet that really made my day was the string cutter. The 'blade' aint that sharp, but easily whacks the end of a low E string. Since there is only a little exposed metal, all of which is smooth and rounded, the risk of scratching your guitar is minimal, and the small cutting head makes it easy to trim the string very close to the peg.
The Pro String Winder appears to be well built, and I suspect that it will last me quite a while. Even if if conks out in a year (not that I think it will), its a good bargain, and I'll buy another.

Snark SN-6 Ukulele Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)All I wanted was a good, well priced tuner for my ukulele. Nothing fancy, just a good tuner. My other tuner (a musedo) would be all over the place at times when I was trying to use it and I no longer really trusted it. I checked out all the other tuners on Amazon (read the reviews, pros & cons, etc...) and decided to go with the Snark SN-1 since I saw that other people tuned their ukes with the Snark. Then I saw the Snark Ukulele SN-6 tuner. There were no reviews on it at the time but because of the other positive reviews on other Snark products, I thought I give it a try. I'm glad I did! It's small, solid and accurate!
It grips on the uke headstock well; it doesn't interfer with the tuning knobs; has a clear, well lit display; responds accurately to any note (not just GCEA); and it's a great price!
The only downside (if you want to call it that) is that it doesn't fold up flat against the headstock so you may have to remove it when you put your uke in it's case.
Buy it, you won't be sorry!

I originally bought the mid-priced one but promptly returned it when it arrived because it did not have a tuning clip. This has it all. The shipper even included cleaning cloths. Way to go the extra mile! It is simple to use and does the job.

Peterson StroboClip - SC-1 Clip-On Strobe Tuner Review

(More customer reviews)I've used 4 different brands of clip-on tuners to tune my Classical guitars and electric basses, but this tuner is the most accurate. It captures the note immediately without errors, whether the low E on an electric bass guitar or the high E on my classical guitar. It is fast enough to use real time during intonation practice/training on fretless bass. It works flawlessly on solid body and acoustic instruments. Takes a little getting used to but simply, if the rings spin clockwise, the note is sharp; if the rings spin counterclockwise the note is flat. If you can afford it, the Peterson is the best clip-on tuner out there.
