(More customer reviews)First of all, if you don't know how to tune a piano, STOP NOW! Without proper knowledge of how to manipulate a tuning lever, it's very easy for you to mess up the tuning, and even worse, you may break the string, loosen the tuning pin, or whatever. When you call a professional piano technician to fix the problem, you'd have to pay a lot more than usual fee for a tuning, because you've made his or her job more complicated.
Besides, with the square head of this tuning lever, it's very hard to set the lever on the tuning pin at good angle to manipulate it well. You need a star tip at least.
If you really want to tune your piano, learn how to do it correctly first. One good place to get information about piano tuning is the Piano Technicians Guild (ptg.org). Take good care of your piano.

Yamaha Gigmaker Standard Acoustic Guitar Pack, Natural Review

(More customer reviews)I got this guitar to replace my Mitchell guitar based on reviews.
The price was good.
Also, it is the Yamaha brand name.
The sound, I was told by my teacher, was very good and he said it was a good buy.
The tuner is OK....better to buy a Korg tuner from Amazon.
Haven't tried the DVD yet.
I have only two complaints:
1) The bag, as pointed out by another review, is very flimsy. It has no straps, no padding. It just has a carry handle. You would want to buy another gig bag
2) The worksmanship is lacking at certain points....e.g. where the neck extends on to the body of the guitar, you see glue that was squeezed out from under. I am a stickler for aesthetics. Some people are not bothered with such stuff.
OVERALL A VERY GOOD GUITAR
PS - You might want to check out the GigMaker Deluxe...similar guitar but has a solid spruce top and is only $10-$20 extra. I did not know about it otherwise would have bought that.
However, as I came to know later, solid wood tops sound good but need to be kept in controlled humidity whereas the laminate tops don't care about humidity. If you want to control humidity, you can buy a little humidifier (no electricity needed) that drops into the sound hole of the guitar.

Professional Piano Tuning Kit Review

(More customer reviews)The tuning lever appears to be a cheap imitation of one of the better brands. The star tip stripped out almost immediately because it is a poor quality metal that is chrome plated. Better ones use hardened steel. The tapering also was not done correctly. While it seems like a bargain, spend a few more dollars and go with a Schaff-Hale or similar brand. Except for the tuning fork, felt and mutes, this kit is a waste of money.

(More customer reviews)Before you read this understand I am new a playing guitar. That being said the features on this guitar are nice fir beginners, the Fishman tuning system is easy and work great. The sound is great (to me) Im sure others will differ but if your looking for a 200 dollar guitar you shouldn't nit-pick. But it has been about 6-7 months of hard play and I don't hear any new rattles or signs that things are coming apart. The finish is natural wood not polyurethane like nice ones. But this is a great beginners guitar.

This is his first guitar, so I purposely waited in writing a review until he became more accustomed to playing and familiar with this particular guitar. First of all we both think this a nice guitar for a beginner. The original guitar strings were just OK, the first E string broke, so my son had to change the strings, he chose to use the brand- D'addario light 0.12 strings. Between, practicing every day and changing the strings, we could definitely hear a difference in the sound quality of the guitar. The look of the guitar is a beautiful lightly gloss laminated finish. The gig bag is a bit cheap, and a small hole tore near the zipper a few days after buying it, but other than that it is holding up. If you plan to use your guitar daily, you might want to invest in a better carrying case. All in all, no complains for a first guitar.

(More customer reviews)I just started playing Guitar and after seaching around the internet i found this steal of a guitar. I paid 179.99 from amazon and it shipped free and seeing as im in Iraq thats awsome. Ayway the guitar is very easy to play action isnt to high and its easy to get a clean sound from, tunning is also no problem usualy the top two strings need to be a little tighter after sitting over night but thats about it. The tuner is very helpful and the dvd while not very exciting does have a great cord dictionary thats very helpful to me. Over all for the money i think this is a awsome package the only peice of the package that isnt awsome is the gig bag and at this price who cares the gig bag they give you is just that a bag no padding or anything of that sort.
