Nice metronome, good rhythms but way too expensive. There is a ten buck flamenco metronome for the iphone called mobile compas which gives way more programmability and beats on price even if you include the price of the iphone.

The flute itself is nice and nothing broke so far. What I have a problem is the case. When we first got the flute, the inside of the case had this white substance in it. We had to clean the flute immediatley.

Kratt Master Key Pitch Pipe C to C Review

Kratt Master Key Pitch Pipe C to C
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently bought a dulcimer, and needed something to help me tune the instrument. Yes, there are all kinds of electronic tools out there, but this pitch pipe fits in my case, never needs batteries, can be slipped into my pocket - it's just too convenient not to use.
Now, a pitch pipe requires that you have an ear that can tell when the pitch on the instrument matches the pitch on the pipe. If you want a needle or a digital readout to tell you when you're in tune, don't buy this.
The only reason I didn't go with five-stars is I can't swear to you that the pitches on the pipe are "exact". I'm trusting that Kratt accurately calibrated their pipe, and have no evidence to the contrary. With that warning, this meets my needs.

Ping P2642 Individual Chrome Standard Button Electric Guitar Part Review

Ping P2642 Individual Chrome Standard Button Electric Guitar Part
Average Reviews:

When several machine heads broke on my Epiphone DR-100 acoustic guitar I had to find a new set. I didn't want to make new holes in the head so the selection was pretty limited. I decided to try this set because machines looked almost identical to original ones. First of all, they turned out to be much better-built than originals. Second, the installation went almost perfect (almost because the holes didn't match 100%). Overall, the machine heads do their job really well, though I still have to fine-tune my guitar every time before I start to play. I'm not sure if they are the best you could possibly find, but they absolutely matched all my expectations!

Intelli IPM-100 Tuner Microphone Clip
Average Reviews:

I have a few guitar/bass/violin tuners already and didn't want to invest in another, but wanted the ease of using a microphone tuner, especially for my violin. This product works perfectly and it's at a great price. Just connect it to the input of your tuner and clip the other end to your instrument. Much faster, accurate and easier way to tune both guitars or violins.

Rhythm Tech RT 7350 ProTorq Drum Key Review

Rhythm Tech RT 7350 ProTorq Drum Key
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this key on a whim. When it arrived the instructions were not clear, but I sat the dial to #2, loosened all of the lugs on my floor tom and went around my lugs using opposing lug patterns, and tested the first cut of tuning. Too loose and deep, so I increased the setting to #3 and repeated. Almost the sound I wanted, so I used a regular key and went an eighth turn using the same pattern. Perfect. I then started on the next largest tom, working back to the smallest. Using the #3 setting plus an eighth turn I got my toms 1/2 octave apart.
Next I worked on my snare drum, starting with the snare side, then the batter side. I used #4 on the batter side and #5 on the snare side, and managed to get the crisp, yet warm, sound I wanted. The bass drum came next - I set the batter side tension 1 notch below the resonant side and achieve a great tuning. From there I went back and set the resonant sides of each of my four toms one notch higher than the batter side and marveled at the perfect tuning I attained.
This is an easy device to use - with the lever facing you move it to the left, loosen all of your lugs, then tighten each starting with one or two. When the lever clicks and moves to the right position you have reached the torque setting. Test, increase a notch if necessary, and repeat until you get the sound you want. Set the resonant heads either one notch higher or lower to make sure the batter and resonant heads do not cancel each other (and to your desired sound), and you will have a perfectly tuned set.
I'll never go back to tuning by ear! You'll be amazed by the results if you tune with this key, and don't forget to write down your optimum settings.

Seiko STMX1 Clip On Tuner/Metronome Tuner Review

Seiko STMX1 Clip On Tuner/Metronome Tuner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I expected much more for a tuner at this price.
PROS:
It's very rigid and doesn't vibrate like other tuners I've used. With other tuners you have to remove the tuner when you are playing because it vibrates, making a little bit of noise. This one is very stable and doesn't vibrate so you can leave it in position while playing.
CONS:
Back light is not automatic as in other tuners. You can tune just with the leds in the dark, but if the guitar is way out of tune or not using the usual tuning you want to check the notes displayed in the screen.
Buttons are small and ugly.
One of the worst: In metronome mode, you can increase the tempo, but you cannot decrease it!!! You have to go all the way up to 250 bpm and it starts again in 30 bpm... if you want to decrease tempo 1 bpm you have to go all the way up and up again from 30 bpm. It has 7 buttons!! Why in the world they didn't assigned one button to go down in tempo.
The volume of the metronome is not very loud. I would have prefered a louder metronome.
The tuning is not very stable, i don't know if it's because it's too sensitive, but that's not practical...sometimes there is too much variation with a very small change in tuning.
Also usually tuners have some trouble recognizing E (6th string) and recognize it as B because it's a strong harmonic. But with this one, sometimes it recognizes E (1st string) as A, which it's very weird.
I'm not returning it just because I live outside USA and shipping would be very expensive.

Great little fiddle for little hands. I wish the hair on the bow was a little better, but overall if your looking for a nice "beginner" and I mean "beginner" fiddle (between 2 and 3 years old this is perfect! Nice case and it's a pretty little thing, you can start with the very basic's on this fiddle for little hands. Holding the bow and how to hold the fiddle. And if you can keep the bow rosened the sound is ok. Nice purchase and I will buy the next size up when time!!!! Nice for the price!

Protec Guitar Strap Review

Protec Guitar Strap
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently purchased two Protec guitar straps in order to avoid having to switch straps between instruments. These straps are quite flexible length-wise, so if you have ever been disappointed by a strap that you either couldn't get short enough for a high playing position or long enough for a low playing position, you will not be disappointed here. These are also a nice medium width, so they should be suitable for all kinds of players. Although one reviewer complained about the size of the holes for the strap buttons, I actually find the snug fit to be an advantage: it doesn't feel like I'll have to worry about the strap coming disconnected from the guitar. And, the price is right.

Shar Metro Tuner Review

Shar Metro Tuner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The thing about this chromatic tuner/metronome/pitch reference, is that the thing is cheap. First of all it costs very little to buy. But that also means that the construction is not especially robust. The thing is very lightweight, and a couple of nasty falls could take it out. (Actually the first one I had fell a LOT, and kept on clicking for over two years). But ultimately, if it breaks, just buy a new one. Why would this be worth it? Supreme functionality.
First it's a fully functional chromatic tuner, with 1/4" instrument input jack. Gotta have that feature. You can adjust the reference frequency, from 430Hz to 450Hz. (Does anyone use anything besides 440Hz?) Very clear readings for the tuner, with bright LED lights accompanying the tuner gauge.
Here's my fav part: The metronome! Digitally adjustable from 30bpm to 250bpm. Built in speaker, WITH A VOLUME CONTROL, and a headphone jack. Volume is important feature. It will also subdivide for you at any tempo. You can have it play 1 on every beat, eighth note subdivide, eighth note triplets, eighth note triplets with the middle one omitted (for a swing feel), sixteenth notes, and sixteenth notes with the middle two omitted (for a horse trot feel or something). It sounds a slightly different tone on the beat than on the subdivisions. Additionally, it will give you a very strong downbeat at the beginning of each bar if you want. It's a higher pitched tone. You have the option of how many beats in the bar -- 0 (no downbeat, just constant) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9. You can pretty much get any combination for any type of feel you want to play with. Very useful.
Then the pitch reference. It will play a pitch (volume controlled), any chromatic note, again adjustable reference from 430Hz to 450Hz. One little thing that other tuners have pissed me off, this one doesn't: This allows you to select you pitch in either direction from where you're at. If it's set to C# and I want it to play C, I can arrow down once. Others would make you arrow UP eleven times to get to that C.
Good stuff. I just bought two actually, because they're so cheap I can afford to keep one at home, take one on the road. I do a lot of working with kids, so if I'm ever in a situation where there is a need to have a tuner, it's no problem for me to just leave this with them, and buy a new one. Thanks Shar for your cheap products! This is perfect for someone who is careful with their gear, doesn't want to pay a lot, and wants huge functionality. Not for someone who's going to get pissed when they drop their tuner and it starts acting funny. Doesn't break necessarily, just acts funny for awhile.

Boss Stage Tuner for Guitar and Bass Review

Boss Stage Tuner for Guitar and Bass
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The BOSS TU-1000 floor tuner functions very well and has a multitude of features for tuning an electric instrument. The LED display is large enough for anyone to see including those with limited vision. One of the best features is the optional muting of the signal for silent tuning which also be un muted for tuning during performance. Numerous features allow for various tunings, and can be set according to the users desire.
However, much to my surprise, the unit was much larger and heavier than I remembered when I saw it on display before purchasing. Also, the unit will require a carrying case to prevent damage such as a padded drummers stick case.
