Just finished installing two sets of these, and they're a pleasure to work with. They are well designed and well machined, working smoothly, installing easily, and doing exactly what they say they will. They've shown no slippage, and they're a nice looking addition to the guitar!

Line 6 Spider IV 120 120-watt 2x10 Modeling Guitar Amplifier Review

Line 6 Spider IV 120 120-watt 2x10 Modeling Guitar Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I cannot begin to say what a pleasure this amp is to play. The clean sound is what I play primarily and thus, the 4 star rating. It sounds great clean yet the fiddling around with the menu to get presets that are suitable for jazz and the like take time. No big deal with time issues if you're one well versed with digital menus. For dudes like me (perhaps many) this is a fine piece of workmanship with the built in tuner and all, but I just want to turn on the tube sounding warmth of an old TWIN or VOX and play mellow. Again, if one is inclined, mellow sounds will come out of this superlative amp and I am only thinking of selling mine because I just need less power and less menu stuff.
Like amateur radio, many of the new gear out is menu driven versus simplicity. I am hardly one who does not like to tinker, but when tinkering is all one is doing an playing your instrument takes second seat, there is a slight problem. So, this is based on my ineptitude rather than the amplifier's capabilities and build.
A four out of five is very good given my admission to menu driven gear as a weakness on my part.
You'll love it if you love reading manuals or have much time to tinker. Overall, the amp is superb. PERIOD.

The Fender Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Strat is one of the fine guitars out there. Load with some heavy strings and you start to create the SRV sound. I was lucky to be able to find this guitar in this good of condition (like new) for my son's 21st birthday. A great guitar for a great kid! Shep Hyken

I purchased this guitar last year to begin taking acoustic guitar lessons. I love the sound of this guitar, it is rich, warm, and has a good tone. It does not sound tinny or cheap. I went to the Guitar Center and played this instrument before purchasing it. I recommend using metal strings. Nylon strings sound terrible! I think this guitar is a great value for the money. The action on this guitar is good, and not too difficult when learning how to play. I have small hands and the fretboard does not feel too wide. I am still struggling to learn, but that is because I don't take the time to practice. This guitar is pretty and I have it displayed in my living room when I am not using it.

Fender Starcaster Strat Pack - 3-Tone Sunburst Review

Fender Starcaster Strat Pack - 3-Tone Sunburst
Average Reviews:

Its just amazingly perfect for playing at home!!
It includes everything. And I mean everything that you might need. Its not even mentioned in the product description that a headset is also included! Which is totally what I needed as I play it for hours and hours and I should not be disturbing others. Amp is cool, its loud enough for home use. It has Bass and Treble effects as well which is very cool. A guitar stand is also included which makes it easy to keep the guitar when not in use.
About the guitar itself, it needed a bit of tuning when I took it out of the box, but that was again very easy with the chromatic tuner provided. After that tuning its just been sounding inch perfect!
Everyone around me is in love with this guitar. Trust me it won't let you down. A fender is always a good choice! Specially if it comes with all the accessories for a really great price!
About amazon, very fast service, cheers!!
I paid for standard shipping only. And I got in something like 60 hours!

Grizzly H3125 Ukulele Kit Review

Grizzly H3125 Ukulele Kit
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you consider that the body of the Ukulele comes ready built, the fretboard comes finished and with frets installed, and the neck/head are already formed this is a great kit for the price. Don't expect a top quality instrument, but use this kit as an introduction to what building a Ukulele is all about. The top and bottom of the soundbox are made of beautiful striped sapele mahogany plywood that is really stunning. The sides are not particularly attractive luan plywood. The body is well assembled with internal liners but no bracing that I can see. All the parts are well sanded and ready for finish sanding, staining and finishing. The tuners and strings are inexpensive but adequate. The directions are badly translated Chinese, but the construction is easy to figure out. The neck is to be attached by a simple butt joint, but I would suggest additonal strengthing with dowels. I would suggest shortening the nut to first fret distance by at least 1/16" for better intonation. The string height is not specified in the directions, so you better know how to adjust that properly for good playing.
The instrument I built worked out fine, the sound is not particularly loud compared to better instruments. I changed the strings to Aquila Nylgut with much better results.
I have provided construction photos on my website at:

DigiTech BP200 Bass Multi-Effects Processor with Expression Pedal Review

DigiTech BP200 Bass Multi-Effects Processor with Expression Pedal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Within it's class and price range, I'm giving it a five.
You'll end up paying a good 500-600$ to find anything better.
This has to be the quietest multi-fx I've ever used. Even the fuzz-wah doesn't give background hiss cranked up on my system. Except the buttons, it's all metal and pretty solid.
You can't edit effect parameters with the computer.
The pedal distance is pretty short and there's almost no resistance to it.
As has been said elsewhere, the fretless has quite a lag to it. Not useless, just a lag to get used to.
For the money, no hiss, metal body, a good selection of flavors, basic (and effortless to get going) drums and a pedal that can be assigned to about every parameter I can find.
It's the best unit in this price range, period.

Line 6 Micro Spider 6-Watt Battery-Powered Guitar Amplifier Review

Line 6 Micro Spider 6-Watt Battery-Powered Guitar Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Not a bad little amp - for what it is. VERY handy for portable practice, just got back from 2 weeks at the beach and it served wonderfully with my BluesHawk. Also turning out to be really convenient for quiet practice at home via headphones. Batteries (6Cs) and the included AC adapter both work fine. Built in tuner is convenient, it will get you real close at least.
I REALLY wish Line 6 would put (much) less emphasis on providing "Insane Rock Star Settings" - I guess its not hard to figure out their target audience, but come on - with only 5 amp models who really needs Crunch, Metal AND Insane?!? What about Blues (or even Twang)?...a model more for British/Classic Rock? Anyway, besides Clean, and a bit of Crunch, I do appreciate the inclusion of Acoustic mode for my Martin, which was a major reason I picked this amp over other similiar battery-capable ones (the other being that it's Line 6 as is my SV112 & Pocket Pod so functionality is familiar). Hmmm...but if it is for "portable practice", with an acoustic would one bother with an amp at all? Still, the choice is there for 'normal' practice situations.
Unfortunately, the sound does suffer through headphones, and background hum/noise are especially more evident. The same headphones sound much nicer and cleaner on my PPod. However I do not get the 'ground loop noise' with my Gibsons as I typically do through my SV - which is very good.
I did not try the CD/MP3 input yet - though the idea of using this as a speaker for an IPod is cool - definitely will make use of that.
I had a Roland Micro Cube for a very shot time, and that also functioned well. The amp model choices there were much more useful (for me), and I do not recall the headphones bringing down the sound quality.

Line 6 POD HD 400 Review

Line 6 POD HD 400
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just got this pedaleboard to replace my POD xt live. The packaging was good and got it the next day with amazon prime
So far I tried the factory presets and made a few of my own.
First of all, HD modeling is a great upgrade from previous pods, it does sound diferent, I'm not and audio tech or anything like that, it really feels very close the real thing.
With this one you get fewer amp modeling, but they are 16 greatly modeled amps, and you can tweak every aspect of it to make it sound how you want.
I like the fact that now with line 6 edit you can tweak the signal, you can use pre or post effect and the GUI from the new version is really intuitive.
The advantage of the 400 is that you have the bank selector and is to my opinion less confusing than the 500.
This is really an improvement I really like the new tone, the distrotion for metal are great, and lots of weird sound effects if you're more into experimental stuff
The only thing I would complain about is: 1. You have to download the manual from the line 6 page
2. It doesn't have an off switch (that's not a bad thing its just I don't like to be pluging every time I want to use it)
Is this better than the 300?? no, Tone is the same, just a few more effects, but I like to have the bank selector separate front the other switches.
Is this worth it or should I get the 500? A friend has the 500 and I got really confused making the tones, with so much stuff you can do, you have to be really patient and organized in order to get the tone you want, with 400 is just tweaking a few of the knobs and that's it ready to rock. If you just want play music with good tone and no spend time tweaking stuff the 400 is for you and you save yourself some money.
Ask me for a video review and I will gladly post it =)

HD amp modeling: sound and feel like never beforeHD amp models defy the accepted standard. They feel, behave, and interact with previously unachievable realism.Creating these new HD amp models was no small feat. Line 6 mixed 15 years of amp modeling experience with 3 years of new research and development to build an entirely new amp modeling technology from the ground up.During that time, they hunted down 16 incredible amplifiers andwith the help of LAs top tube amp expertsrestored each one back to peak condition. The new modeling technology uses 10-times more amplifier information than before, including single-ended class A tube stages, class AB push/pull interactions, power supply behavior, and more. I just got this uke a few days ago, and I absolutely love it. I would give it 5 stars in a heartbeat. I immediately changed the nylon strings out for Aquila nylgut strings because they had terrible sound and felt too stretchy. After that improvement I couldn't be happier. Build quality is immaculate, finish is great, playability is fantastic, and the tone is bright and loud. I'd recommend it to anyone (with a new set of strings). Fender American Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar Sienna Sunburst Maple Fretboard Review

Fender American Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar Sienna Sunburst Maple Fretboard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Clapton, Hendrix, Vaughn, Malmsteen & Johnson All Play Strats For a Reason
Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore. A who's-who of some of the greatest guitarists of all time chose the Fender Stratocaster as their primary "axe." There's a reason for that: Stratocasters ROCK. Light, fast, comfortable, expressive, and forgiving, its a compelling guitar. Plus, as characterized by the name, this baby is made in America. Corona, CA to be precise. That makes a big difference. Go to a store and pick up the various Fender Stratocasters. One of the differentiators between the models isn't just features, its where its made. A Mexican or Japanese Stratocaster will not play as well as the American made version. I'm not being xenophobic. Give it a try, test it out, you'll find a dramatic playability difference between the models sourced from different countries. One could attribute the variability to "bad quality control," or perhaps the pride the US workers have from producing an icon of rock really shows in the finished product. Beyond the build-quality, models from different countries use different materials for the components and for the finish. The neck of an American and a Mexican Strat' are the same, but they are finished with a different coating. You can feel the difference, and in my opinion, the US version feels much better.
The Strat' not only looks good, but that shapely, sculpted body is so much nicer to play with than the body of that other American legend, the Les Paul. No sharp edges to dig into your ribs. Other differences are: the Strat' has three pick-ups for more flexibility than the standard two humbuckers of the 'Paul; and of course the Strat' comes standard with a whammy-bar (tremolo), which is unavailable from the Gibson factory for the Les Paul.
The neck and fretboard are maple. Boy does that make a difference. All my guitars had rosewood fretboards before I got my Strat', and rosewood remains the most popular wood for fretboards. Despite its popularity, rosewood can be very inconsistent. Run your nail across rosewood fretboards on different guitars and you'll see what I mean. Plus, your average rosewood fretboard is slow. I'm slow enough, when I play a guitar with a rosewood fretboard, sound barely emerges at all! The maple neck on these Stratocasters is wonderful. Its easy to maintain, but more importantly is that its FAST. Play it long enough and it'll look the top of your desk from high-school, but it'll still be FAST.
For anybody considering an American Standard, I would suggest they consider an upgrade, if possible, to the American Deluxe HSS. Then you got all the goodies: Locking strap. Three pick-ups that are now switchable singe-coil/humbucker for a total of 10 different pick-up combinations, right from the Fender factory. No after-market guitar tech digging into the guts of your "pride & joy" to install after-market pick-ups, which aren't inexpensive either. You also get the floating tremolo bridge the way it was meant to be: combined with a ball-bearing roller nut and locking tuning keys. It is truly a beautiful thing to experience. This tremolo setup gets you that stuff Floyd Rose invented his tremolo for (dive-bombs with a return to tune), except its better than a Floyd Rose. Anybody who has adjusted the intonation on a guitar equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo can attest to how remarkably inane it is. It's so difficult, and so slow, and decent results are so difficult to obtain I can hardly fathom how good old Floyd thought the design of the tremolo was acceptable given the steps required just to tune the guitar. None of those problems with the Fender whammy. Intonation is easy to adjust, quick, and spot-on accurate, well, as accurate as intonation settings ever are, and far better than the "nudge and pray" of the Floyd whammy.
I've been playing guitar for over 25 years. I've only had my American Deluxe HSS Stratocaster for a few years now, but I love it. Every time I try another guitar, even those costing much more than my Strat', the playability pales in comparison. Given Gibson's manufacturing issues, I don't think there's a finer American-made guitar than the Fender Stratocaster out there.

Squier by Fender Stop Dreaming, Start Playing Set: Affinity Special w/ Fender 15G Amplifier, Black Review

Squier by Fender Stop Dreaming, Start Playing Set: Affinity Special w/ Fender 15G Amplifier, Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You'll find many reviews of this product. Some claim it is the worst of the worst, and some love it.
It is a beginners guitar set, so take it as that. The tones that can be achieved are very clear, and the single coil pickups are actually quite good for a cheap guitar. If you want a cheap 100 dollar ebay guitar, go ahead, the pickups will likely be totally unusable. These are usable.
The tone knobs and wiring inside aren't the greatest, but they do their job. There is some 'scratching' sounds when you rotate a few knobs.
The amp it comes with has some nice beginner features, and the headphone output is a plus.
If you want to learn how to play guitar, this has enough to keep you satisfied until you've learned enough to justify a better guitar or amplifier. The guitar is much better then the amplifier, so i would suggest getting a new amp first (what i am doing currently)
Note: buy new strings for your guitar too! The stock strings arent that great.
Also: Buy a guitar strap that is GOOD. The one it comes with slips off, and i hit the side of my guitar on the CORNER of a wooden table...thank god for paint and super glue.

Zoom A2 Acoustic Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Review

Zoom A2 Acoustic Guitar Multi Effects Pedal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was very skeptical ordering this product because I bought the Zoom electric processor & was not impressed. However I must say I am totally blown away by how well this unit works out of the box. Most of these processors are packed full of over-done processed sounds that needs lots of tweaking so you don't sound like you're playing in outer space. Two days after I got this unit & less than an hour playing & barely having to fiddle around with it I was jamming live in front of 500 people that weekend, and at least 5 of the factory settings were usable without any tweaking at all! It was like my acoustic guitar, only better, sweeter & more vibrant sounding. Not overdone, not too spacey nor too much reverb, just a little more color & better EQ & sound quality. I got several comments from my band members about how good the acoustic guitar sounded.
The unit has some cool modeling features so you can have your guitar sound like the standard Martin D-28 or Gibson dreadnought & others. What I also really like about this unit is it has REVERB, EQ, CHORUS, DELAY, MODELING, PICKUP SELECTION, AND VERY IMPORTANT: a COMPRESSOR! This is a must for live performances, compression smooths out your sound. Many of the other more expensive acoustic processors make the terrible mistake of leaving off either reverb or a compressor.
You could spend more month but I doubt you'd get a better unit? Forget the Zoom electric processor & definitely get this one for your acoustic, its a great unit.
One bad thing--these things eat batteries (if you leave them plugged in with the cords). I was surprised it sucked a fresh set of batteries dead in one weekend with only about a couple hours of playing time, apparently because I left the guitar cable plugged in overnight. But unit does come with an AC adapter. I dont have need for a volume pedal so I skipped the more expensive version, although that unit does come with a XLR (mic cable) jack which eliminates the need for a Direct Box on stage (necessary for maintaining the signal over long cable runs)
Enjoy, thanks for reading.

Zoom's A2 processes the line signal from your acoustic guitar pickup, adding the tone and space normally associated with mic recording. Even if you're playing through an amp or PA, your guitar's natural resonance will shine through. It will also model famous acoustic sounds, and features EQ and effects for getting exactly what you're after.

96kHz sampling brings out the true nature of acoustic guitar sound The rich, detailed tone of an acoustic guitar is created by a delicate triple harmony of strings, neck, and body. But a piezo or magnetic pickup never captures the full body resonance, often resulting in thin sound dominated by the strings. This tendency can't be fully compensated with a conventional preamp equalizer.
The A2 series incorporates 24-bit / 96 kHz sampling and sophisticated sound modeling technology to process the line signal from the pickup, adding a lush body tone and the spatial ambience that is created by mic recording. Even when playing through an amplifier or PA speaker, the resonance of the guitar body is restored, allowing the natural acoustic sound to shine through.
The new ZOOM ZFX-3 32-bit DSP chip The heart of any multi-effect device is its processor and decoder section. ZOOM has attained a new level with the ZFX-3 chip. 32-bit architecture ensures outstanding performance and allows smooth and detailed signal processing. Fine nuances of fingering and touch come through without any deterioration, thanks to this incredibly powerful DSP.
Select optimum characteristics to match pickup and amp model The GLOBAL module that controls settings for the entire unit combines a pair of parameters called AMP SELECT and PICKUP SELECT. These let you optimize frequency response for the type of pickup and amp that you are using. Whether recording or live on stage, you can always get just the right acoustic sound.
Six-band linear equalizer or two-band parametric equalizer provide ambience control Center frequency allocation and filter slopes of the built-in six-band EQ are optimized for acoustic guitar. Peaking type filters in the crucial middle range (320Hz, 500Hz, 1.2kHz, 6.3kHz) are augmented by shelving-type filters at the low and high end (60Hz and 12kHz). Further flexibility is offered by the possibility to switch to a two-band parametric EQ, for delivering a pin-point boost or cut. The A2 series lets you really take control.
Feedback control feature When playing an acoustic guitar on stage, acoustic feedback (howling) is often a problem--but now there is a remedy. The feedback control feature allows automatic or manual detection of the constantly changing feedback point, and an effective notch filter is then brought into action to provide the required attenuation. Auto detection can be triggered with the foot switch to allow swift reaction during a performance.
47 high-quality effects implemented with 32-bit processing Eight modules dedicated to aspects such as dynamics, filtering, modulation, and ambience offer a total of 47 effects. A limiter/compressor lets you control peaks and ensure that levels are matched. The air effect simulates the ambience in a room, the detune effect adds pitch-shifted harmony components for that fleeting 12-string guitar sound. Or emphasize a specific frequency range with the resonator. All of these effects are optimized for acoustic guitar and can be put to use right away. Other features include multi-tap delay and long delay with settings up to 5000ms, reverse delay, flanger, phaser, and various other studio-class effects.
Add body and depth with 3 types of chorus Add just the right amount of body and depth to the sound when you need it. The choice is yours: warm and mild mono chorus, clear and transparent stereo chorus, expansive and three-dimensional chorus ensemble, and more.
Enhance your acoustic sound with 9 types of reverb The A2 has nine types of reverb designed specifically for acoustic guitar including Hall, Room, Arena, Tiled Room. Many guitarists will also be familiar with Spring Reverb. The A2 also features a reverb setting called "Early Reflections" and a Slap Reverb that is a first for this class. Each reverb setting is fully adjustable so the user can make each phrase more distinct.
12 acoustic guitar/preamp sound character simulations A simulation module lets you choose among a number of very famous and popular acoustic guitar tones. The different sonic characteristics that depend on body size and shape as well as on the materials used are faithfully reproduced. What's more, a mic module simulates the sound of guitar as recorded through a microphone, with selectable positioning and mic type (dynamic / condenser).
Analog style editing knobs make it a snap to create your very own sound The three rotary knobs let you tailor three different parameters at the same time. This could be sensitivity, attack, and level for the compressor effect, or delay time, feedback, and mixing level for the delay effect. It's like having an array of stomp boxes ready for action. In play mode, the three knobs adjust the modulation effect mix level, delay/reverb mix level, and the patch level. This lets you quickly match the unit's performance to the band or the room acoustics.
40 ready to use preset patches for stage and studio The unit comes preprogrammed with recommended settings for various acoustic guitar models, settings that are modeled on the signature sound of famous guitarists, rich ambience settings using chorus and reverb, and more. Plus, a user area capable of storing another 40 patches gives you plenty of creative leeway.
World's fastest patch change speed: 8ms The annoying interval heard when switching patches on standard effects pedals has been virtually eliminated. With its record-setting speed of 0.008 seconds, the A2 series never misses a beat. For example, when changing to a lead solo during a song, you no longer need to press the switch slightly in advance. Simply push the foot switch and start playing the solo phrase.
Built-in auto-chromatic tuner for guitar The guitar tuner can be called up instantly by pushing two foot switches together. High-brightness LED indicators make the note readout easy to see also on a dark stage. The calibration range is 435 to 445Hz, and mute tuning without sound output is also possible. Tuning has never been easier or more convenient.
ZNR keeps playing pauses quiet The built-in ZOOM Noise Reduction (ZNR) provides optimized performance for guitar. While minimizing any alteration of the original sound, ZNR shuts out unwanted noise in the playing pauses. Even the tails of long sustain notes come out beautifully, with natural release.
Integrated drum machine with PCM sound sources Realistic drum sounds derived from PCM sources are arranged in a variety of rhythm patterns for different musical genres. The 40 rhythm variations include the steady 8-beat of Rock and Pop, funky 16-beat, a "Jazzy" 4-beat, and many more choices.
Optional foot switch allows versatile remote operation When the optional foot switch (FS01) is connected, tap tempo input of settings such as delay time and modulation rate is possible. Other selectable functions include bank switching, drum machine start/stop, and delay hold on/off switching.
Ultra low noise design with 100 dB S/N ratio With an amazing rated signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB, background noise ceases to be a problem, leaving only superbly clean, transparent sound.
Sturdy metal chassis and rubber damping for superior toughness and durability The combination of a solid metal chassis with shock-absorbent rubber damping ensures that the unit can stand up to the rigors of use on stage. Take it on the road or into the studio, the A2 series will not let you down.
Two-way power allows use just about anywhere Thanks to its circuit design optimized for low voltage operation, the unit will run for more than 7.5 hours on a set of four IEC R6 (size AA) batteries. A separately available AC adapter (AD-0006) can be plugged in for extended studio work, but on stage you never need to worry about AC power.
Expression pedal adds further versatility to your guitar play The optional expression pedal (FP02) is a great way to control effect parameters in real time. Besides adjusting the volume or the tone of a simulation effect, the pedal can be used for manual detection of feedback frequency, controlling the modulation rate, or adjusting the delay/reverb mix level.
